Around the Galleries
Samuel Reilly, Apollo, June 1, 2018

Beyond the fairs, a number of commercial shows in the capital stand out this month. The young gallery Fiumano Clase — a collaborative venture between established gallerists Francesca Fiumano and Andrés Clase, which opened near King's Cross last November — features a solo show by Dénes Maróti. This Hungarian painter's brooding, semi-abstract landscapes and portraits are inward-facing studies into the process by which memory achieves material form.
