Finnish Artist Anikó Kuikka has been selected to be part of the 2020 annual video art festival in Finland.
Ääriö ry is a non-profit association based in Turku, Finland, specializing in curating video art, and whose stated purpose is furthering the exposure of audiovisual art.
The association organizes contemporary art events, most notably the annually held Video Art Festival Turku (VAFT). The association's guiding principles are fairness, gentleness, considerateness, inclusivity, equality, justness, transparency and trustworthiness. Having no jurying fee in our open call for submissions, not charging for entry to the festival, and committing to paying a screening fee to featured artists are some of our central value choices for social and economic equality.
Kuikka's poignant work 'Sun Aikas Koitaa' will be screened as a part of VAFT 2020 – Video Art Festival Turku at Kino Diana on November 5th.
